- Local Red Cross Begins Feeding at Sandbag Central

Beginning Monday, March 1st from 8 am – 8 pm, the American Red Cross will provide water, snacks and sandwiches to the volunteer sandbaggers at Sand Bag Central, 2301 8th Avenue North, Fargo.

This is a coordinated partnership between the Red Cross and Salvation Army as the community, area Emergency Managers, City and County officials begin preparing for and mapping out strategies for fighting this spring’s flood.  The American Red Cross will work with local officials to provide Mass Care and Mobile Feeding operations as long as deemed necessary.

“The American Red Cross is getting ready and we need families to get ready too.  In areas where flooding is likely, it is crucial for residents to take action to get prepared,” stated Greg Voss, Regional Executive Director for the American Red Cross.

Contact the local American Red Cross at 701.364.1800 or www.minnkotaredcross.org to learn more about flood preparedness.
